This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of
the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this
15th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by
the uncle - Mr. [5154], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for
Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

At the home of

3:50 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Minnesota.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it
thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the
present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions,
also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering
the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: ... Township - number 5, yes.
3. Yes, we have the body here, [3565].
4. As we find, there is a combination of disturbances here and
there are specific lesions that are the sources from which
these disturbances arise.
5. In some little time back there was an injury to the coccyx
end of the spine. Hence a lesion has formed there which, in
its reflex through the developing periods with the tendencies
already existent, causes a circular lesion in the 3rd
cervical area. These combined have formed lesions in the
greater lacteal duct that lies in coordination with the gall
duct and the entrance of the duodenum to the jejunum. Hence
when there is either a full activity or flow from the
duodenum to the intestinal tract, or when there are those
influences as the body rests when there is the coordinating
or balancing being produced through the circulation from the
liver to the kidneys, there come these contractions causing
spasmodic seizures that draw the body in the 1st, 2nd and
3rd cervical area, as well as the muscles of face and the
sensory organism.
6. This is not what is ordinarily termed epilepsy, but is rather
from those lesions in the coccyx and those adhesions in the
lacteal duct that cause the spasmodic reaction to the 1st,
2nd and 3rd cervical. Or where nerves of the sympathetic
system or impulses coordinate with the brain flexes in the
circulation. Thus there is caused what might be termed a
short circuit to the wave responses in the impressions to
reflexes in brain, causing these centers to produce in the
locomotories, spasmodic seizures.
7. We would apply consistently for one hour each day, three days
at a time, the Castor Oil Packs over the lacteal duct and the
umbilical and caecum area. Apply over same the electric pad,
not so hot as to be uncomfortable, but when it is thoroughly
warm turn on low heat.
8. After these have been used for one hour each day for three
days give the body internally a tablespoonful of Olive Oil.
9. Then let the body rest from these until the next week and
repeat the whole procedure, and so on.
10. After the second series of the Castor Oil Packs begin with
having osteopathic corrections made in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd
coccyx centers.
11. Also following each of the series of Castor Oil Packs, do
break up lesions in the lacteal duct area - though not
bruising the body, but give deep osteopathic manipulations to
break up the lesions; also reducing the circular lesions in
the 2nd and 3rd cervical area.
12. Keep the body away from sweets.
13. Occasionally, once or twice a week, give the body one drop of
Atomidine in water - to purify the glands and set up
drainages for each center through which impulses of the body
find expression in the sense organisms.
14. Do these things and we will make better conditions for this
body.

16. (Q) Was this injury caused at birth?
(A) Just after birth.
17. (Q) What is the relation of the tumor on eye, and should it
be removed by surgery?
(A) Not until the other corrections have been made. This is
a lymph tumor or wen. This will be removed by surgery but
let's cure or retard the seizures to such an extent that this
portion of the body is brought to better coordination.
18. (Q) What is the connection between her condition and her
constant desire to bump her head?
(A) This is from the impulses that flow from the lacteal
area to the center through which there is the control of
coordination or equilibrium of the voluntary and involuntary
reflexes.
19. (Q) What causes her extreme nervousness and ungovernable
temper?
(A) All of this comes as a part of that which is rather
tormenting to the mental body. As yet it has not reached
that stage of other than that bordering on possession.
20. (Q) Please suggest a doctor or doctors accessible to the
parents to whom they can go to have these treatments
administered.
(A) The body is close to where there is a good masseuse or
naturopath. Don't use a chiropractor, or don't treat the
body chiropractorially, but neuropathically or
osteopathically.
21. (Q) Can this condition be permanently cured?
(A) Can you be assured that tomorrow is coming? Can you be
assured on any change? Rather know, as has been indicated,
these can be eliminated. Do be prayerful, do be consistent,
do be persistent and we will bring better conditions for this
body.
22. We are through with this reading.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it
thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the
present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions,
also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering
the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: As we find, there are disturbances. These are the
effects of indiscretions in the body of the parent of this
entity, as well as the prenatal or karmic debt of the entity
itself, [3603].
3. These may be materially aided. They will not be entirely
relieved through mechanical applications alone; that is, from
just pathological conditions. For these conditions are also
in the mental and soul self, and the greater help will come
with these applications being followed while the body is in
the care of someone who would give constant spiritual counsel
- as a Unity student or Science student - yet these would
interfere with the mechanical or pathological conditions to
be corrected, for they are very definite. Or one of
spiritual or divine science rather than Christian Science who
would give the body counsel in its developing era or period
of unfoldment of spiritual self, of body emotions, of mental
abilities, to correct these relationships and these
activities - from the spiritual desire to be clean every
whit.
4. Few people have considered that injunction regarding being
perfect in the day and generation, or clean every whit.
These are body, mind and soul.
5. Pathologically we find there are those adhesions in the
lacteal duct area as associated or connected with the pubic
centers in this body. These cause, when there is the
digestion or when there are activities of certain elements or
environs, what might be called seizures, falling sickness,
epilepsy or the contraction or spasmodic condition in the
area of the 1st and 2nd cervical, where the emotions through
the superficial circulation or the sympathetic and the
cerebrospinal system do not coordinate in their entrance to
brain reflexes.
6. If there will first be, then, this training in spiritual
desires, the determination of the body-mind to be every whit
clean from the spiritual self, the mental self, we would then
make these applications:
7. For an hour each day, three days in succession each week
(the same three days each week), we would apply Castor Oil
Packs. After each three-day series, take internally at least
two tablespoonsful of Olive Oil.
8. Do this for at least three weeks, then leave off for six
weeks, and so on.
9. But after each application do give the body a massage
especially to break up the lesions in the areas of the
lacteal duct and in the connections of the sympathetic or
glandular centers at the head of the pubic area. While the
pubic centers are not to be covered with the oil packs, do
use the massages here after these corrections will be
physically made.
10. Use the Radio-Active Appliance for an hour each day just
before retiring at night. Keep the attachment plate very
clean. While there will be nothing felt in the vibrations
from these, do make these applications - and through that
period study the scripture, or teach it to the body - whoever
would direct this phase of the entity's experience.
11. Do these and we will bring better conditions for the body,
[3603].

13. (Q) What is the best environment for the child?
(A) As just indicated, the association in Divine Science,
Unity or Christian Science, provided they do not require that
the body be kept from making these administrations for the
physical and mental self.
14. (Q) What is the best way to discipline her?
(A) This will be in the same manner suggested. And if there
is not found the response within, there will never be the
response without - you might as well put the body away.
15. (Q) If a special school would be best for her, what school?
(A) This will be school enough if you will follow these. If
there is to be any special training, that along the line of
mathematics and geography should be a part of the experience,
but study the scripture itself - this should be sufficient.
This is not to make the body goody-goody. It should be
joyous in its activities.
16. We are through with this reading.
