Camphorated Olive Oil

The Camphorated Oil is merely the same basic force [as Olive Oil?] to which has been added properties of Camphor in more or less its raw or original state, than the spirits of same. Such activity in the epidermis is not only to produce soothing to affected areas but to stimulate the circulation in such effectual ways and manners as to combine with the other properties in bringing what will be determined, in the course of two to two and a half years, a new skin!  440-003

Oil to remove scars.   In a glass jar place 1 oz of natural camphor and 4oz extra virgin olive oil and leave stand until dissolved – this will then be camphorated oil. To this add 4oz of cold pressed peanut oil.

More Cayce Remedies will be added soon.

The Power of Essential Oil

From the Penn Herb Company team
Essential oils possess the pure properties of plants from which they are derived, in effect harnessing the power of the herb, fruit or flower. These fragrant botanical essences are not only credited with enhancing the mood, but are now being recognized for their antiseptic, antibacterial, and a host of other therapeutic properties.

Our fascination with scents has been around since time immemorial. While the the ancient Egyptians are perhaps best noted for their use of Cedarwood and Frankincense oils for their mummification process, aromatic plants and oils have also been an integral part of other ancient civilizations as well, being used for massage, health and religious purposes.

Aromatherapy: Stimulate Your Senses
The sense of smell has the longest recall of all our senses. It can evoke memories of the past, and stimulate sexual desire, hunger and other emotions. For these and other reasons, we're now seeing a revival of the art of  aromatherapy, the controlled use of essential oils to enhance physical, and emotional health and well-being. Essential oil blends can relax, rejuvenate and inspire! Experiment and create your own personal perfume blends and potpourris.

Penn Herb Company offers an extensive line of the highest quality essential oils, obtained from reliable suppliers around the world. All oils are packaged in light restrictive, cobalt blue glass bottles that include a unique "dropper top" for ease of use . Here's a look at some of our popular and exotic oils:

Anise_Plant[1].jpg (19637 bytes)Anise (Pimpinella anisum): With its sweet, rich, fragrant aroma, Anise is a delightful addition to any perfume blend. For a soothing treat, add 5 drops to your bath to relieve stress, insomnia, and nervous headaches. Aromatherapy effects: Cheering, relieves fear anxiety and melancholy.

Clove (Szygium aromaticum): Clove is perhaps best known for its inclusion in dental preparations to relieve toothaches. The spicy scent is also used in perfumes, soaps and potpourris.
Aromatherapy effects: Sense enhancing and warming.

Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus): Who doesn't appreciate this healing scent when congested and fighting a cold? Eucalyptus essential oil has a long history of therapeutic use, but is most commonly used as an inhalant  to relieve respiratory congestion.
Aromatherapy effects: Purifying, invigorating.

Lavender_Flowers[1].jpg (20597 bytes)  Lavender Flowers (Lavandula angustifolia): This classic, floral scent is a favorite of many aromatherapists because of its versatility and calming influence. Lavender essential oil  has a soothing aroma that relieves anxiety and promotes restful sleep. For a peaceful night's sleep, add 6-8 drops in a simmer pot next to your bed, use in an aromatic diffuser; or try a relaxing bath by adding 10 drops to a bathtub of warm water and soak for 10 minutes.
Aromatherapy effects: Calming, soothing, normalizing.

Myrrh Oil (Commiphora myrrha): Myrrh's value down through history is legendary, and its trade along with Frankincense formed the economic base of several ancient kingdoms, due to its high demand for religious and cosmetic purposes. Today, Myrrh's spicy, balsamic aroma is valued as a fixative in perfume and potpourri blends, or just for its own special fragrance.
Aromatherapy effects: Centering, visualizing, meditative.

Sandalwood, East Indian (Santalum album): Native to tropical Asia, Sandalwood exudes a woodsy, sweet sensuous fragrance. It is a great scent for gentlemen or ladies- apply just a few drops to hair ends to smooth them, and to enjoy a sweet sandalwood scent all day long.
Aromatherapy effects: Relaxing, centering, sensual.
