Time of Reading
3:30 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Mass.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it
thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the
present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions,
also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering
the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3597].
3. As we find, there is much that is very good in the way of the
physical and mental reactions of this body, yet there are
those disturbances which cause rather dis-ease than disease.
4. These areas from the incoordinating of the cerebrospinal
system and the sympathetic reaction, especially as related to
the circulation between heart, lungs, liver and kidneys.
5. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body,
[3597], we are speaking of:
6. First we find that the blood supply varies as to the pressure
and the pulsation. For there are periods when disturbances
arise from lack of circulation and there comes a lower or a
higher or variable temperature - there are periods it is
subnormal, others when it is abnormal.
7. These cause nausea, headaches, the feeling of being oppressed
or depressed, or both. These are the reactions between
impulses and conditions that exist with the body.
8. In the nerve forces of the body, we find the sources, in a
manner, of the disturbances; that is, sources of deflection
at least, in the centers where cerebrospinal and sympathetic
coordinate the better - 2nd and 3rd cervical, 3rd and 4th
dorsal, 9th dorsal, lumbar axis. These are areas where this
dis-association or lack of coordination reflects more. At
times we find that the body will have pains and a heaviness
across the area above the point of the hips, again it will be
along the side of the spine and about the middle of the back.
Then there will be those achey dull feelings through the area
of the shoulder blades - this stretchy, achey pain. These
are the disturbances.
9. The organs we find not so much disturbed, though there are
periods when there tends to be sluggishness in the liver,
again there will be overactivity or underactivity through the
kidneys, there will be those periods when there is the
depression, the shortness of breath, or the tendency to sigh
or to get a good deep breath. But except for the disturbance
in the liver these are as yet purely reflex and not organic.
10. In making corrections for these disturbances:
11. We would first prepare these properties to be taken as a
tonic. This may the body prepare himself or have prepared by
one who can do so.
12. To one-half gallon of distilled water, preferably in an
enamel container or glass, add - in the order named:
Yellow Dock Root............1/2 ounce,
Snake Root..................1/2 ounce,
Prickly Ash Bark............1/2 ounce,
Buchu Leaves.................10 grains,
Mandrake Root.................1 grain, or (its
equivalent in the
ground or pulverized.....1/2 grain.)
13. Let these boil together until the quantity will be reduced to
one pint. Strain and then add 1/2 ounce Balsam of Tolu cut
in two ounces of Spirits Fermenti or a one and one-half ounce
of grain alcohol.
14. The dose would be a teaspoonful once each day when ready to
retire.
15. Most of these properties are emits but are active principles
upon the liver and the blood stream, some as astringents,
others as purifiers, others causing the organs of the liver,
kidneys, heart and lungs to become clarified.
16. Also we would have corrections made, not as adjustments, but
rather as massages - as by a Swedish masseur or neuropath.
These should follow a steam bath, not a dry steam but either
the Fume Bath or Steam Cabinet Bath. These should not be too
strong. If they are taken as Fume Baths, use witchhazel for
the rubdown following same - two ounces of witchhazel and
one-quarter ounce of Lanolin. Massage this along the spine,
especially in the areas indicated, where the coordinations
between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic systems are to be
aided. These would be not so much spinal adjustments, then,
but a treating of the emunctory centers at those areas along
the sympathetic nerve system. Thus the Swedish or
neuropathic massage is preferable.
17. Do these and we will correct the conditions with this body.
18. Ready for questions.
19. (Q) What caused the recurrent susceptibility to illness?
(A) As indicated, this incoordination between suggestive
forces and central nerves and blood supply, producing
reflexes in the organs indicated; carrying, though, those
tendencies of malaria or undulant fever, as strep in blood.
Thus the purifier, thus the corrective conditions, thus the
distributing of energies through the system in those
applications indicated. And do all of those things
suggested.
20. (Q) Any suggestions as to diet?
(A) This should not be of meats nor altogether of vegetables
or fruits, but a well balanced diet, carrying nuts, fruits
and vegetables. If meats are taken at all, let it be a
little fish, fowl and lamb, but nor fried foods.
21. (Q) Would you suggest a physician who could administer the
treatments suggested?
(A) As indicated, a neuropath or Swedish masseur.
22. (Q) Would it be advisable to have a check reading later?
When?
(A) Let's wait until later and then we can tell. This will
depend upon whether there is response by the body. This is
part of the consciousness to be gained. See, the disturbance
is between the suggestive and the reality of the central
system. They don't get along always well together.
23. (Q) Any mental or spiritual advice to help meet this
condition?
(A) The making of the activities of the body and the mind
useful is the means of contributing to the well-being - the
body, mind and soul coordinated. Thus coordinate the
activities of the physical through which each portion of
those sympathetic associations would coordinate. If you will
do these we will get help.
24. We are through with this reading.
